Jack had been my "runner crush" all throughout high school as I quietly admired him from the stands at a track. Much to my surprise, him and his friends participated in an ultimate frisbee tournament I hosted as a fundraising benefit later on. Of course he made the small move of adding me on Snap-chat after our first meeting. I soon one-uped him months later by asking him to come to homecoming with me. And the rest is history...
On a cold December day, Jack asked me to toss a frisbee with him. I unwillingly agreed (due to the cold weather) and went with him to the Winnetonka football field. Jack started saying sentimental things while I hurried him to throw the frisbee to me. A second later he was on one knee saying, "This is where we first met. This is also where we get engaged." Way to assume the sale, Jack. I responded by saying, "Did you ask my parents!?!" With a very surprised face, I finally said yes. I still don't think the reality has fully sunk in.
