Travel & Hotels

Derby is easily accessible via rail and road. The night before drinks will be in Derby city centre and the venue is a short distance outside the city centre. If using taxis we recommend Albatross Cars (Derby's 'better than Uber' with the OG app to prove it) - bookable via their app or by phone. Derby has a larger number of apartments bookable via booking.com as a professional commuter city. If you prefer a hotel I would recommend from low budget to high budget:

Hotel

Premier Inn Derby City Centre (Riverlights) hotel

Morledge, England DE1 2BB, United Kingdom

Central location in the city and very cost effective. No frills but a usual quiet and comfortable Premier Inn experience. No on site hotel parking but there are car parks 10 minutes (Parksafe, recommend as a very secure and safe car park in the city centre) or 5 minutes (Assembly Rooms, cheaper as discounted by hotel but less secure) walk away. Also very close to the station if travelling by train. Best for cost.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Derby - Pride Park, an IHG Hotel

Wheelwright Way, England DE24 8HX, United Kingdom

Central location c. 10 minutes from city walk (ask to cut through the station), and lower-mid-priced. Good room options for families or groups. Some amenities on site, usual Holiday Inn experience. Parking on site (paid). Also very close to the station if travelling by train. Best for functionality.

Hotel

Pentahotel Derby

Locomotive Way, England DE24 8PU, United Kingdom

Central location c. 10 minutes from city walk (ask to cut through the station) and higher-mid-priced. Modern hotel with much nicer amenities, bar (24-hours) etc. On site parking (paid). Also very close to the station if travelling by train. Best for carrying on after midnight.

Hotel

The Coach House

185A Duffield Road, Darley Abbey, England DE22 1JB, United Kingdom

Great location for the venue (15 minute walk). Boutique hotel, more suited to adults, not families. On site parking (paid, reservation needed). Good choice for drivers, not rail travellers. Best for adults, more luxurious and wanting to be close to the venue / within walking distance.
