The invite requested I wear green.... do I have to?

We get that finding a green suit or dress isn’t always easy—so truly, wear whatever feels good and comfortable. That said, we’d love for everyone to join in the spirit of things with something green—whether it’s a full look or just a fun accent. You don’t need to buy anything new or go overboard, but we’re hoping our little greenhouse is filled with our favorite people in our favorite color.

If your invitation envelope is addressed as 'Your Name and Guest', you're welcome to bring a plus-one. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you attend solo unless specified. If you have more specific questions, you may reach out to the bride for clarity.

While we love your little ones, our venue kindly asks that all guests be 13 years or older.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

As noted on your invitation, the ceremony will begin around 10:30 AM. Light fare and beverages will follow on the adjoining patio, and the entire event will wrap up by 2 PM.

Is the venue heated? What should I pack for the weather?

Answer

Early November in Virginia typically ranges from 69-55ºF. Our ceremony will be held in a heated greenhouse, and the covered patio—where light fare and beverages will be served—will have heating towers if temperatures dip. We recommend dressing for your comfort and keeping an eye on the forecast for Mineral, VA in the weeks leading up to the event, so you can pack accordingly for both the wedding and any additional travel.

How do I get to the venue? Is there parking?

Our venue is Avonlea Farms, located at 10440 Jefferson Hwy, Mineral, VA 23117. You can find a map of the grounds—including parking details—under the “Venue Map” tab. Guest parking is available in the lot at the front of the venue.

What should I expect after the ceremony—will there be food, drinks, or entertainment?

Answer

After the ceremony, we’ll gather on the patio for light fare and beverages—think of it as a laid-back brunch reception. While there won’t be a dedicated dance floor, we’ll have music playing and plenty of space to mingle, enjoy the atmosphere, and dance. There will also be some lawn games, weather permitting. Just a heads-up: the venue doesn’t allow outside alcohol and is smoke-free.
