Our Love Story

We met through mutual friends during the early months of freshman year at the University of San Francisco. Jack was friends and roommates with Anthony, who befriended Chelsea, who shared a dorm room with Alisa. Jack, Anthony, and Chelsea (all business majors) would frequently hangout in Alisa’s room. While she rigorously studied for exams as a nursing major, they continually tried to distract her from her studies. Eventually, this led Alisa to put up a sign on her wall that stated, in three different languages (English, Russian, and Hebrew), that Jack was banned from hanging out on her bed. In retaliation, Jack then proceeded to leave little notes hidden throughout her room, including a microscopic picture of himself on her ceiling with the caption “Don’t worry, I’m just watching you sleep.” After playing a season of intramural soccer together, our friendship grew over weekly viewings of Survivor, the greatest reality TV show to ever exist. Our friendship ultimately became a relationship following the signing of a contract that Jack drafted up for our first Valentine’s Day. A few months later, when Alisa first told Jack she loved him at the top of Lone Mountain at USF, Jack confidently replied with “I think I love you too”. The rest is history. After many years of badgering by his grandma, Jack finally proposed on 11/11/23 in Yosemite National Park. We now live in a home in Anaheim, parents to 2 kittens adopted in July 2024. On her off days, Alisa loves making ceramics, meanwhile Jack continues to play soccer and pinball. For a full circle ending, we are currently playing on a co-ed soccer league together for the first time since freshman year.
