Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website. We're so excited to celebrate with you in Vermont. Use this website to plan your weekend and let us know if you have any questions. Love, Jack and Alana
Most people know by now, we grew up together. We coexisted relatively unaware of each other despite attending the same elementary, middle and high schools. We spent five summers (Jack spent eight) doing the same theatre program (hey SJST Alumni!). In high school, we had the same classes, both did student council, shared mutual friends, and were even in the same homeroom, but continued to float in and out of each others orbits, unaware that by the time we were ready to leave our Needham bubble we wouldn't be able to part. We found each other, like most high-schoolers do, during the panic of prom season proposals. Thanks to a series of right place, right time events, Alana's request for "a date who was taller than her", the matchmaking skills of one Tali Solomon (bridesmaid galore) Jack bought some flowers and pro(m)posed. Alana said yes. Then we left for college. As luck—or fate—would have it, we kept in contact. Before long, it was clear to the both of us that, however difficult a long-distance relationship would be, staying apart would be even more so. And, on February 10, 2015, we decided to *officially* start a relationship. Long distance dating isn't for everyone, but it helped us to build a relationship separate from school or home. Alana knew she was in love on a Greyhound back to Boston, just past White River Junction. Sharing a dorm room, living out of a suitcase most weekends, buying last minute bus tickets all came in handy later on when we discovered our love of traveling together. From cross-country flights to California to low-key weekends in Portland, elegant stays in old-Savannah to booze-fueled road trips to the Midwest. We grew our relationship negotiating itineraries, backseat driving, hunting for hotel deals, exploring museums and wandering streets in search of the best restaurants. The pandemic squashed our ability to travel so we made new hobbies, but mostly just spent the time pleasantly surprised we weren’t sick of each other yet. Difficult times make people realize what is truly important in their lives, and for us it was—well, us. We know, now better than ever, that there is no one else on the planet we would rather share our love, our lives, and our families with. So, Jack proposed, but this time it was for a lifetime together. Alana said yes. On February 11, 2023 we're going to make it official. We invite you to join us in celebrating our promise to turn 8 years (and one day) into forever.
