On August 30th, 2023, fate quietly set the stage for a love story neither Jack nor Rebekah could have imagined. In a Salt Company leaders’ meeting, while waiting in line for some very important Mexican food, their paths crossed. Rebekah remembers falling in love almost instantly. Jack, on the other hand, remembers how incredibly good the food was. (Some things take time.) In the weeks that followed, their story unfolded gently, like the turning of a page. Living as neighbors, their paths crossed in small, meaningful ways. Jack stopping by to borrow eggs for his famous banana bread, and Rebekah finding reasons to wander over to “hang out,” hoping for just a little more conversation. Each encounter added a spark, though neither quite knew what it would become. Then came November, and with it, swing dancing in downtown Minneapolis. Week after week, the dance floor became the place where courage met opportunity—thanks in part to a heroic wingman named James, who finally ushered Jack across the floor to Rebekah. From that moment on, the dancing mattered far less than the talking, the laughter, and the undeniable spark between them. Their first official date arrived on November 18th, 2023, at Bordertown Coffee near the University of Minnesota. What was meant to be a simple coffee turned into three hours of uninterrupted conversation and it was clear this was only the beginning. A second date quickly followed, and on December 1st, 2023, while (ironically and fittingly) baking banana bread together, Jack and Rebekah made their love official. Since that day, their love has grown deeper, sweeter, and more joyful than either could have dreamed. And on September 27th, 2025, along the breathtaking North Shore in Two Harbors, Minnesota, Jack knelt down and asked Rebekah to be his forever. Now, with hearts full and hands entwined, they cannot wait to celebrate their happily ever after with all the people they love, surrounded by the beauty of Panola Valley Gardens this summer.
