Maid of Honor
Yaraneli (Neli) has been there from the start, literally from the start. She is my older sister and maid of honor. She has been my role model and voice of reason when things get tough. Knowing that she will be there to lead the way brings me so much joy.
Best Man
Joey is the oldest of the Marren boys, the role model, and the one who has described himself as best man long before the engagement. Whether he tries to or not, he shows me every day how to be a better version of myself. It wouldn't feel right with anyone else passing me tissues when Jocelyn comes down the aisle.
Bridesmaid
Andrea is a force to be reckoned with and my little (though not too little) sister. She likes to check on me by sending me funny videos. She is hard not to love and one of Maggie's favorite people. I feel blessed to have her be part of my bridesmaid squad.
Groomsman
Michael's the second of the Marrens, the closest in age, and the greatest competitor for me growing up. He's always driven me to work harder and persevere through the toughest of times. In recent years, we've been able to mostly give up that competition, especially when he got exceptionally good at giving gifts to our loved ones. He has to be standing right up there with me for the day to be perfect.
Bridesmaid
My ride or die! Alexis and I met at our first job out of college. We kept each other sane throughout it all. She was the one that encouraged me to approach Jack and the rest is history.
Groomsman
Matthew is my only younger brother, and we've always been very close. Ever since he would follow me everywhere I went as a little boy, he's made me a better brother and better person. It wouldn't truly be my wedding without him. And thankfully, he agreed to take a break from playing basketball for a whole day to be there!
Bridesmaid
Liz and I have this very complicated relationship where we go on hikes for no reason. And I mean VERY long hikes to the point we can't feel our legs. Who better than Liz to make sure I make it all the way to the altar!
Groomsman
Aneesh and I met in college and became friends when he offered me rides to and from Illinois Wesleyan. We talked about everything on those trips, and he became as close a friend as I've ever had. He's never afraid to ask me difficult questions or challenge me to be better. He's exactly the type of person I need next to me to start this next chapter of my life.
Bridesmaid
When I hang out with Noemi I know she will make sure that no matter what we are doing, there is food at some point. I love how carefree she is and her enthusiasm for food and good drinks. I know she will bring this same energy to the wedding!
Groomsman
Doug and I met in college too, and he is the person who taught me how to be a great friend. He refuses to lose contact, always texting or calling, and ready with a rehearsed voice mail if I don't answer. He's the one who suffers through my contrarian opinions and still insists on being friends. I know Doug will always be there for me, and that's especially why I need him here for my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Maggie is Jack's little sister and our shared bridesmaid. From the start, she welcomed Jocelyn with open arms, and whenever she sees Jack would always ask, "so, what's Jocelyn up to today?" She is thrilled to bring some more girl power to the Marren family and our day would not be complete without her!
