We met at work. We became friends. We started dating. And dated. And dated. And dated a little bit more. Thanks for coming! ... Okay, Jocelyn wants to say a little more, so I'll expand. We met back in 2016 while working customer service jobs together. The combination of low pay and angry customers really brought out the need to make friends in the office and blow off steam after work. We started hanging out in groups, often arriving before anyone else. This time alone before the others arrived became what we now call our "pre-dates." And after catching feelings, we #Finally had our first date watching the fireworks at Lake Michigan. The ensuing years saw plenty of highs and lows. We've been together through good times and bad times. We survived our first pandemic together, and hopefully don't have to do that again. We've both had jobs we've enjoyed and jobs we couldn't leave quickly enough. We've lost some loved ones, and we've gained a few more along the way. One of the loved ones we lost was Jack's Grandma Boyle. The first time she met Jocelyn, they bonded over a Caravaggio painting and became fast friends. Today, Jocelyn wears the very same engagement ring that Grandma Boyle wore her whole life. And we know she would be thrilled that Jocelyn can treasure it too. Thank you all for celebrating with us!
