We're getting married!

We look forward to everyone joining to celebrate on this special day. Here's our love story, enjoy!

Her Story

The First Date

"I won the Tinder lottery, as James was my very first match on the app. He asked me on a lunch date. We ended up spending the entire day together concluding with sharing our first kiss on the beach. The fireworks (literally) lit up the sky. Our timing was not great, as I was in a pivotal point in beginning my career by applying to residency. However, I couldn’t help but spend every second of my free time with him. His optimistic, goofball self was always willing to experience new things together. As we were gallivanting through Italy, it dawned on me how much I loved this man and never wanted to let him go. Apparently, he had the same idea. "

His Story

The First Date

You know the feeling when you are handed a test and it looks nothing like what you have been studying? That moment your brain seems to shut off as you look at that foreign language laid in front of you? The first time I saw Jacey I felt that. Except instead of that lasting a moment, it lasted for a full 5 minutes. I have no idea what we talked about or how she didn’t run away. I’m sure it must have been a terrifying experience. Somehow she stayed. This absolutely gorgeous lady stayed. My subconscious must have said something right. The more we talked the more I wanted her to stay. Running out of time I panicked, how do I make her stay? I must have screamed at her, “Do you want to go to the beach!” She surprisingly said yes. As we sat there talking from light to dark I knew she was special. I was more nervous to kiss her than my first kiss. It honestly took me a half hour. Well I finally went for it she kissed back and that was my last look at freedom. She had me from this moment on although she didn’t know it. We proceeded to Whataburger after because what great Texas date doesn’t involve this staple. This is also the first time I found out that I needed to order extra fries because little miss “I can’t have fries”, proceeded to eat all of mine. When I dropped her off back home around 11pm from our lunch date, I got one last kiss. I’m so glad she didn’t look back to see my acting a fool. I had never felt so happy.

Her Story

The Proposal

"For my graduation present, he surprised me with skydiving on the island. On the day of the big jump, James was acting strange and was awfully quiet, but I just assumed he was nervous about plummeting towards the earth. I was freaking out all the way up into the sky, but when I'm with James I know everything is going to be okay. He makes me feel like I can accomplish anything in the world that I set my mind to, even if that's falling out of the sky for fun. We both jumped and safely landed on the beach. I was in an adrenaline daze when this man of my dreams got down on one knee. The details are a little fuzzy for both of us, but my heart pretty much exploded when he asked the magic question with the most stunning ring. James is the most caring human being I know, and I’m the luckiest woman alive to get to spend the rest of my life with him. I'm so excited for our big day. But best of all, my sassy cat Jameson approves of this future matrimony!"

His Story

The Proposal

Then she tells me that I have competition. His name is Jameson. Who is this formidable opponent you might ask? Her cat... for I have been informed that if he doesn’t like me then we could never work. She was absolutely serious. I had never been so nervous to meet a pet. In her defense, Jameson is a bad ass cat/puma (he occasionally thinks he is much larger and ferocious than he is). As me and Jameson seamlessly bonded, Jacey and I bonded even more. Enough to start our adventures together: Chicago, South Carolina, Florida and the big trip Italy. I already knew I loved this girl before this trip but I could only describe myself as hopelessly in love with her at this point. I knew I wanted her forever. I can tell you that I didn’t wait a moment longer than her graduating. Literally the next day. She always joked that I had to jump out of a plane to propose to her so that’s exactly what I did. For whatever reason she never realized what I was doing. Sitting next to her in the plane my jump instructor asked me if I was ready, she thought we were referring to the jump but in reality he was asking if I was ready to jump into the rest of my life with the girl of my dreams. I took one more look at her and gladly threw myself out of that plane. Plummeting towards earth was terrifying, anything could go wrong. Could you imagine if she said no? I needed to slow this landing down. Rest assured we landed and I got down on one knee just as she landed. The look of shock on her face. I hope it was from me dropping to one knee and not the rapidly approaching earth part. Either way I completely butchered whatever I was trying to say. Every word that I had rehearsed left me. I managed to salvage the second half of what I had to say and I will never forget pulling that ring out and asking her that precious phrase. “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” “YES” This is what the girl who I love so much said. This beautiful woman who wants to share a family with me. I can’t believe that I get to marry her.
