Reed and Jace met in a coffee shop on a fall day in New York City. Jace was waiting for her latte when Reed struck up a conversation about reading, hometowns and NYC. Although Reed has no particular interest in books, he heard all about Jace's trip to the Strand just before. After they both had their coffees, they exchanged numbers and well, the rest is history!
