Shoot The Hooch, Powers Island
Shooting the hooch has been the activity that Ian has been most known to do over the past four years. It is cheap, fun, and a great way to cool down on the Chattahoochee river and have a few drinks with your best friends. I highly recommend going; however, you must schedule at least 5 hours before going anywhere else. The hooch is an unpredictable mistress.
Marietta Square
Marietta Square is one of the more beautiful Metro Atlanta downtown areas. With a rich history and plenty of shops around, there is plenty of things to do to fill a Saturday afternoon.
Red Top Mountain State Park
A short hike that showcases the beauty of the North Georgia Wilderness alongside the waters of lake Allatoona. Also located in this park is a beach and picnic area (shown in the picture) where you can relax by the lake.
The Battery Atlanta
The Battery is one of Atlanta's newest destinations. This strip surrounds the Brave's new stadium with a variety of shops and game bars including virtual top golf, professional bull riding, and Atlanta favorite pizza and ice cream restaurants (Antico's and Jeni's). TKE's office and test tower (Ian's work) are also here.
Savoy Automobile Museum
A car museum located very close to the hotels in Cartersville! I personally will be going here at some point in our time here. - Ian
Cauble Park Beach
Cauble park beach is the easiest to access beach shore around for those who want to relax and sunbathe by the lakeshore. The park also has a nice bridge and walkway to relax by and enjoy the scenery.
Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield and Park
Kennesaw Mountain is a well known Atlanta Hiking Destination. Great for a morning jog or any civil war history buffs to see.
Tellus Science Museum
A large museum located close to the hotels that is very well known in the area that includes dinosaur bones, beautiful rock exhibits, and much more.
Six Flags over Georgia's White Water
Georgia's best waterpark hands down. Located only 20 minutes away from the hotel, a ticket to White Water is perfect for all Kennywood or Six Flags lovers wanting to beat the heat for a day.
Woodland Hills Golf Club
Golf club here for anyone wanting to pass the time on the greens. Groupons are available if you search.
Allatoona Boat Rentals
Boat rentals in case any groups want to spend a day partying or fishing on the lake.
