EN- Our story didn’t begin with a dramatic run through the rain or a slow-motion glance across a crowded coffee shop… but funny enough, rain has been a theme ever since. We started with a few messages, lots of laughter, and that gut feeling that something special was happening. Even though we come from different cultures and speak different languages, we have always found a way to understand each other. ES- Nuestra historia no comenzó con una carrera dramática bajo la lluvia ni con una mirada en cámara lenta en una cafetería llena de gente... pero, curiosamente, la lluvia ha sido un tema desde entonces. Empezamos con algunos mensajes, muchas risas y esa corazonada de que algo especial estaba sucediendo. Aunque venimos de culturas diferentes y hablamos idiomas distintos, siempre hemos encontrado la manera de entendernos.

EN- We met in Georgia on a sunny November day. We both felt an instant connection, but our timing wasn't right and we both needed to grow. So God separated us, for a time. Eventually, God made it clear to us that what we had is what he wanted for us. So we reconnected; now, even being halfway across the country couldn't stop us, and trusting in him made what would be difficult feel easy. ES- Nos conocimos en Georgia un soleado día de noviembre. Sentimos una conexión instantánea, pero no era el momento adecuado y necesitábamos crecer. Así que Dios nos separó por un tiempo. Finalmente, Dios nos dejó claro que lo que teníamos era lo que él quería para nosotros. Así que reconectamos; ahora, ni siquiera estando al otro lado del país pudimos detenernos, porque gracias a él todo fue posible.

EN- We didn’t ease into things—we took our first trip to Buffalo, NY and went straight to Niagara Falls. Nothing like a giant waterfall to kick off a love story! - Rain? Check. SP- No nos lo tomamos con calma: hicimos nuestro primer viaje a Buffalo, Nueva York, y fuimos directo a las Cataratas del Niágara. ¡Nada como una cascada gigante para empezar una historia de amor! —¿Lluvia? - SI

EN- On a classic NYC night, we went up to The Edge. With the city sparkling under the clouds, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Spoiler: I said yes, despite the wind trying to steal the moment—and my hair. Rain? Of Course SP- En una clásica noche Neoyorquina, fuimos a The Edge. Con la ciudad brillando bajo las nubes, me pidió que fuera su novia. Spoiler: Dije que sí, a pesar del viento que intentaba robarme el momento y el pelo. Y claroo que llovio.

EN- Although Ian dreamed of proposing in Central Park, New York under the snow, reality turned out differently. The cold and tiredness from the snow and rain made us change our plans. Finally surrounded by a ring of roses, Ian asked me to marry him in the backyard of my brother’s house in Pennsylvania, under a gentler RAIN and with snow falling around us. It was an intimate and loving moment, perfect for us. And it happended during Valentine's Day weekend. Romantic, right? ES- Aunque Ian soñaba con proponerme en Nueva York bajo la nieve, la realidad fue diferente. El frío y el cansancio nos hicieron cambiar de planes. Finalmente, Ian me pidió que me casara con él en el patio trasero de la casa de mi hermano en Pennsylvania, bajo una suave LLUVIA y mientras caía nieve. Fue un momento íntimo y lleno de amor, perfecto para nosotros. Esto ocurrió durante el fin de semana de San Valentín. Muy Romántico, lo sé!

EN- Every trip has brought a little more love and… a little more rain. But also unforgettable memories: like watching fireworks under cherry blossoms in D.C., laughing under umbrellas, and realizing that when you’re with your person, even the rain feels like a blessing. ES- Cada viaje ha traído un poco más de amor y… un poco más de lluvia. Pero también recuerdos inolvidables: como ver fuegos artificiales bajo los cherry blossoms en Washington D. C., reír bajo los paraguas y darme cuenta de que, cuando estás con tu pareja, hasta la lluvia es una bendición.

EN- Throughout our journey, we have deeply felt that it was God who brought us together. His presence has guided every step of our path, strengthening our love and uniting us in every challenge and joy. We know that, with faith, anything is possible. ES- A lo largo de nuestra historia, sentimos profundamente que fue Dios quien nos permitió encontranos. Su presencia ha guiado cada paso de nuestro camino, fortaleciendo nuestro amor y uniéndonos en cada desafío y alegría. Sabemos que con fe, todo es posible.

EN- On August 10th, come rain or shine, we’ll be getting married surrounded by our favorite people. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and officially start our forever always. ES- El 10 de agosto, llueva o truene, nos casaremos rodeados de nuestras personas favoritas. ¡Estamos deseando celebrar con ustedes y dar comienzo oficialmente a nuestro eterno amor!
