Things To Do

Thank you for making the trip to come to our wedding! We know how costly and exhausting travel can be. To fill your time before and after the wedding — here are some recommendations for things to do near Malvern (hotel’s location), West Chester (near venue), Wayne (Jac’s hometown), and Philadelphia.

Nudy's Cafe Malvern

309 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355

*near hotels* Looking for a brunch spot on Saturday or Sunday? Nudy's is a beloved local business with multiple locations - so there's likely to be a wait.

Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

430 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355

*near hotels* Alex LOVES Rita's water ice - particularly the mango with vanilla custard!

Locust Lane Craft Brewery

50 Three Tun Road, Malvern, PA 19355

*near hotels* So we haven't been here but it offers a great beer/food and brunch menu. Check it out for us!

Chanticleer Garden

786 Church Road, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 687-4163

*highly recommend* Jacqueline's favorite place in Wayne (besides home!) and Alex loves coming here too! Explore this 48-acre botanical garden - which is both majestic and humble - to see signs of spring. Tickets are only $12!

A Taste of Britain

503 Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 971-0390

*highly recommend* A Till favorite! Make a reservation for a full afternoon high tea (Jac loves the Cheese & Chutney tea sandwich, and scones with lemon curd!). Attached to the restaurant is their store featuring British treats — you must try the Cadbury chocolate!

Lancaster County Farmers Market

389 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 688-9856

Only open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, walk through 15+ stands of the farmers and small businesses of Lancaster/Delaware County. You can grab lunch, snacks, groceries, and gifts here!

King of Prussia Mall

160 N Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (610) 265-5727

* highly recommend * The largest mall by retail stores (who needs a roller coaster in a mall, really?). Shop from 450+ stores with tons of dining options. If you’ve never been, you have to go -- they have everything!

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107
, (215) 922-2317

A famous terminal filled with a variety of sellers. If you’re taking the Greyhound bus this is only 2 minutes away on foot!

Suraya Restaurant

1528 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125
, (215) 302-1900

Mariel Blasetti has taken Jac here twice — one of THE BEST restaurants in Philadelphia. An amazing menu and dining experience - get a reservation early and sit outside weather permitting!

Marrakesh

517 South Leithgow Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 925-5929

Sit on the floor, eat with your hands, enjoy family style food, and maybe even catch a belly dancing show! A great byob spot for anyone looking for a delicious and special meal out.

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 733-0390

According to Doug Weitner, every girl in Philly has a picture here on their dating app. A small mosaic garden Jacqueline once convinced the guys to come here since she had never been.

Downtown West Chester PA

137 North High Street, West Chester, PA 19380
, (610) 738-3350

If you’re looking to bar hop with a lively scene, we recommend going out in West Chester over Wayne. It’s a college town with great shops and restaurants. Our best friend Kemmler recommends Limoncello, Teca, Iron Hill for restaurants. For bars, we vote Kildares, Split Rail, and Side Bar — for dive bars try Jake’s or Ryan’s.

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348
, (610) 388-1000

Make your reservation online (tickets are $30) for the more famous garden in the area. You will be impressed!
