We had been good friends for a while before we started dating. We first met through our mutual friend, Shaun.

God had been preparing both of our hearts for a long time, and in His perfect timing, He brought us together on September 21, 2025. Soon after, we began dating.

Soon after we started dating, we met each other's families. We were grateful that everyone felt peace and joy about our relationship.

Nature brings us together. We love camping, picnics, and long walks, and dream of a home surrounded by mountains, water, forests, and meadows.

Biola's “Ring by Spring” tradition came true! On March 4, 2026, Sam proposed to Joanna. It was less romantic than shocking—but definitely a wonderful surprise!

On May 9, 2026, Sam graduated from seminary, while Joanna has one more year to go. By God's grace, we look forward to our wedding on July 31, 2026, and the journey ahead together.
