Best Man
Tana is my older brother! After years of fearing him as my older brother I've grown really close with him and turn to him often for life advice, companionship, and, last but not least, competition. This last year I was blessed to be able to live with Tana, my sister-in-law Sami and my beautiful niece Mylah!
Maid of Honor
Sarah is my older sister, who currently lives in Southern California with her husband, Tim. Sarah works as a nurse and musician, while she isn't writing, painting, cooking, or training her doggos (Homer and Annie). Sarah and I are very different in personality, but there's still an indescribable sense of understanding that comes from growing up so close. Through all of my major life decisions, Sarah has been an honest advisor and friend who is always looking our for my highest good. I'm really excited that she'll be standing by me as I enter into this new chapter of life!
Bridesmaid
At West Point, Rachel and I had seen each other at Bible studies and church, but weren't good friends until we became roommates in Company I-1 (Run 'em down!). Since then, Rachel has been a loyal friend who is always down to share a good book, painting, poem, or song. Even more than that, Rachel has watched me go through various stages of life, and has loved me the same through them all. She ended up marrying a good friend from school, and we all moved up to Anchorage, Alaska for our first post. Both Rachel and her husband encourage me to love God and know Him more fully, and I am so grateful for this time we've had together up in Alaska!
Bridesmaid
Leia and I met during our high school years in Orange County, California! We both attended San Juan Hills High School, and came to know Christ through the same church. She stayed in California while I moved around the country, but we stayed close and took the chance every year to see each other. She has been a part of almost every New Years gathering with my family that I can remember, and she even came to visit me and some glaciers last year for a quick two day trip! Leia has always been one of the most kind, expressive, and giving people that I've ever met, and I'm so glad she's one of my oldest friends.
Bridesmaid
I met Claire in the bathroom of New Cadet Basic Training. It was a sweltering, jarring summer requiring us to whisper words of encouragement over the sound of the automatic paper dispenser to avoid the "hurry up, New Cadet" of Cadre waiting outside. Since those initial interactions, I've come to know and love Claire for a unique, honest friend who I can always speak my truest words to. Claire is currently stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado and although recent times have made visits difficult, we stay close by exploring difficult yet timeless topics (like the value of friendship!)
Bridesmaid
Anna Motes and I knew each other at West Point from church events, but we didn't become close friends until we started living together as roommates in Alaska! I remember talking to an undecided Anna at dinner on the night we chose our first posts. I told her "Anna, it could be so fun- Alaska is wild and there's so much adventure!" On a leap of faith, she decided to come to Alaska. She didn't know she was signing up for being a part of Keila's proposal, endless Facetime conversations, last minute trips, and the flurry of questions that new relationships bring. Amid the less pleasant parts of Alaska, I'm extremely grateful for the blessing of an incredible, unexpected friendship.
Bridesmaid
Sina Pritchard is one of Keila's youngest sisters! I met Sina in 2016, four year before Keila and I started dating. That weekend, Sina claims she "gave Keila permission to marry me", based on the energy and interactions that we had! She could clearly see something that Keila and I weren't quite ready to see yet. To be around Sina is to be around a curious force of kindness and passion, and I am honored that she has been so supportive of me marrying her brother. Regardless of where the Army takes us, I cannot wait to spend more time with her as both a part of my family and as a friend!
