Richmond

The Wedding Website of Julia Folkart and Carson Stewart
Welcome to Richmond! We've officially called Richmond home for 3 years now, and we are so happy to be here. Amazing friends, delicious restaurants, rooftop bars, riverside trails, murals, museums, and so many antique and thrift stores. Below, we have a few of our favorite places that you might enjoy checking out while in town. Even if you don't have the time, I hope from our descriptions that you feel how much we love our little city.

Hotel Greene | 508 East Franklin Street We would highly recommend checking out Hotel Greene if you have the time! Hotel Greene is a 13 hole highfalutin' mini golf course designed to look like an old hotel. There is a lobby bar, and you can carry cocktails around the course. It's only a 7 minute walk from the Linden Row Inn, if that's where you are staying. 11/10 cute and fun. Important note: Hotel Greene is 21+ after 5pm, no exceptions. Virginia Museum of Fine Arts | 200 N Arthur Ashe Boulevard If you're a museum-person, the VMFA has some really fun exhibits to stroll through, including a large collection of Fabergé, and a lot of Art Nouveau and decorative arts.

Perly's | 111 East Grace Street It's yiddish for delicious! Right around the block from Linden Row Inn is Perly's, a delightful Jewish restaurant and delicatessen. Open for breakfast and lunch, you can dine on dishes like cinnamon babka french toast, potato and duck pierogis, matzoh ball soup, or an Oy Vey! sandwich. I'll get the Larry David if you get the Hammeredtaschen- deal? Zorch | 2923 West Cary Street I'm sure you can find decent pizza most places, but if you want to try our fav, go to Zorch! We would highly recommend their upside down pizza. Sen's Organic Small Plate | 2901 W Cary Street French-inspired Vietnamese food with great vegan and gluten free friendly options!

Väsen Brewing Co. | 3331 West Moore Street Our favorite brewery in Richmond- known for their great selection of sours, and they usually have a rotating schedule of food trucks parked out front. Walking distance from several other Scotts Addition restaurants and alcohol-serving establishments. Black Heath Meadery | 1313 Altamont Avenue Just some really great mead. Would recommend.

Spotty Dog Ice Cream Co. | 2416 Jefferson Ave C4 New England style ice cream for humans, not dogs. Their flavors rotate, and everything they make is so delicious. They usually have vegan, gluten free, and nut free options! Proper Pie Co. | 2505 E Broad Street New Zealand style pies, both sweet and savory, with vegan options! Don't worry- they sell by the slice too!

There are a bunch of outdoor spots to check out if you want to go for a hike, a run, or casual stroll around some gardens. We would recommend the Buttermilk Trail Loop, Pony Pasture, Belle Isle, Texas Beach, Maymont Park, or the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.
