Izzy: It's always felt like we were meant to be. Zac is from Edmonson County like my parents and all my grandparents. We met one late night at a party in college; I pivoted to ask a random frat boy what the flickering lights meant. Turns out, it was Zac. I didn't know him, but he recognized me, and said "I know your mom." So much for a pickup line?? Apparently we shared a class together, and Zac's step-mom, Erica, worked with my mom at US Bank. They wanted to set us up in the background (I didn't really know this). We ran into each other casually at one of his dad's band's concerts at 440 Main and studied together for an exam. Yet, Zac was unavailable at the time so I stopped talking to him. Then, when I was in Italy studying abroad, my mom texted me to tell Zac happy birthday on February 6, 2020. I initially resisted but gave in to my mom. Zac and I have talked every day since then! Zac: It was back in 2019 and I had went out to a party in college. I was standing outside and someone touched me on the shoulder because they thought the party was about to get busted. I turned around and it was Izzy. The first thing I said was “I know your mom”. Great pickup line right?! Some time before this incident my step mom Erica and Izzy’s mom Tana were planning a mission to get us together. Because of that I knew about Izzy through her mom. We chatted and parted ways that night. I don’t know what it was, maybe butterflies, but I left the interaction with a feeling that she was going to be an important aspect in my life but I didn’t know how yet. I had never had that feeling talking to someone before. We ended up having a class that semester and studied together some. Once the semester was over we didn’t talk afterward until she wished me a happy birthday in 2020. From there it’s history!
