The Wedding Website of Isabelle Beckstead and Elliott Kern
We know Telluride isn’t the easiest place to get to, and it means the world to us that our closest friends and family are making the trip to be by our side. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you! Telluride, CO is a beautiful small town nestled in a box canyon flanked by the tall peaks of the San Juan Mountains. When we say small we mean it; lodging accommodations fill quickly. We recommend using our room block (link below on this page) or looking into alternative options sooner rather than later.

Travel Note

See Below for Airport -> Telluride Distances

The following list will show car travel time from ___ airport to downtown Telluride, CO. Telluride Regional Airport (TEX): 6 miles/ 13 min Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ): 68 miles/ 1h25m Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT): 132 miles/ 2h30m Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO): 124 miles/ 2h25m Denver International Airport (DEN): 383 miles/ 6h30m Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) 366 miles/ 6h50m Our recommendation is to fly directly into TEX and use a ride-share app or prearrange a shuttle service into the downtown area. Unfortunately, there is no public bus from the airport to downtown. Once downtown you should be able to walk and take the Galloping Goose (public bus system) to most everywhere you could want/need to get to. That being said, if you choose to fly into an airport other than TEX, there are shuttle services available for transport to Telluride. Or, if you choose to grab a rental car just know that the scenery en route to town is fantastic and will not disappoint.

Alternative Lodging Options

The Mountain Village: Telluride has a fantastic gondola public transit system that links the old town and the mountain village. The gondola is free to ride and runs from 6:30am - Midnight with cabins available to ride every 30 seconds or so. This enables easy and efficient transport between the town and mountain village. Camping: there are beautiful campgrounds about 20 minutes outside of town. Search for Sunshine Matterhorn, and/or Cayton campgrounds. There is dispersed camping near Alta Lakes, or by Lizard Head Pass. VRBO/AirBNB: if you would like to find a rental property to split lodging with others who are attending please do so, it is a great way to drive down cost.
