August in Telluride is warm and sunny during the day, with average highs in the mid-70s°F, but it can cool off quickly in the evenings, dropping into the 40s–50s°F. Afternoon rain showers are also common in the mountains that time of year. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evenings and being prepared for a mix of sunshine and quick rain showers.
Yes! For those arriving early, we have a couple of optional activities planned on Friday. We’ll be meeting for a short hike Friday morning at 10:00 am at the Town Gondola. In the evening, we’ll also be hosting welcome drinks at The Elks Lodge from 8–10 pm.
No, you don’t need to stay at The Hotel Telluride - there are other hotel and Airbnb options in downtown Telluride. That said, we’ll be providing a shuttle to the ceremony and reception, with pick-up being at The Hotel Telluride. Since Telluride is a small town, we recommend booking your accommodations sooner rather than later.
Our wedding will be held at a private residence, and parking at the venue is extremely limited. For this reason, we kindly ask that all guests use the provided transportation. Shuttles will pick up guests from The Hotel Telluride beginning at approximately 4:15 pm and transport everyone to the venue. Return shuttles back to town will begin at 10:00 pm and run until 10:30 pm.
