Maid of Honor
Our friendship started in the middle of madness of the Y2K. We were young, invincible and living life to the fullest. We made some incredible memories dancing the night away in the height of the NYC night life. Talking and laughing to the wee hours of the morning about life and our dreams. Through the years life has dealt us some of the hardest knocks but through it all we've always remained great friends and have always been there for each other.
Best Man
One of Daniels oldest friends. They met 20 years ago through Pablo's sister Nina, went to a Ska show together and the rest is history. They've lived together, traveled together and they've seen each other grow from young boys with dreads and turntables into the incredible men, father and husbands they are today.
Bridesmaid
We met at one of our Halloween parties in 2016. She fell in love with our cat (Mr Dub's) and I fell in love with her kind heart and warm soul. We instantly clicked and talked for hours like old friends that had known each other for years that night. We even braved our first major hurricane and mass power outage together not too long after meeting. Since then we've become such great friends and we've been a constant presence in each others lives, cooking delicious dinners together, hanging out, and going on adventures any chance we get.
Groomsman
Halloween 2016 brought us another very special friendship. Luis (a.k.a Sweet Lou to those that know him best) walked into our party with his stylish swagger and charismatic personality. They quickly bonded over drinks, music, their love of Cuban culture and lots of laughter. Whenever these two get together you know the jokes are going to fly. Luis has also become a constant presence in our lives and has become more like a little brother to Daniel over the years.
Bridesmaid
My Aquarian sister from another Mister! We're so alike in so many ways. We get each others jokes, silly Seinfeld and movie references, obscure musical selection and film taste. We've even dressed the same and ordered the same book at the same time without knowing it. The moment we met at the Tea House I knew she was part of our soul family. Same vibe, same tribe. Genuine, caring, thoughtful and full of love, our special friendship has been the ultimate silver lining that came from a shared unwanted cloud.
Groomsman
Friends for 10 years Francisco was there from the very beginning. The bromance these two shared was immediate and one for the story books. Like brothers that have grown up together they joke and poke fun at each other every chance they get but you know it's done with nothing but love. When times have been tough Francisco has always been there without fail. He has always been the perfect example of a loving, compassionate and generous friend in every way.
Bridesmaid
What a blessing to have a friendship like this one in my life. During some of my darkest days I feel like Liz came out of no where like a shinning light of love. She proved to be the most caring, compassionate, loving and selfless friend anyone could ever ask for. Through the years our friendship has grown into one that like a priceless jewel I value and treasure immensely. I am so grateful to her for all the love and support she has always given me.
Groomsman
He was there before the magic happend. We had all gone to the Miami Winter Music Conference together and Eddie and Daniel had just met. Somewhere in between pool parties and night clubs we all decided we needed a disco nap and headed back to our hotel. We realized when we got there that we had way too many people and not enough room, but we were all determined to make it work. Ed and Daniel ended bunking up together on an air mattress that evening. They got a little closer than they had expected but it made for a lasting friendship and one funny story.
Bridesmaid
The sister I never knew I wanted and feel so blessed to have. Always full of love, warmth and positivity ready to give a hug when it's needed the most. Pilar has been one of my biggest cheerleaders rooting me on through the difficulties of life. Her energy and light is inspirational. I am honored to be able to call her my Sister in Law.
Groomsman
They first met in 1999 kicking around a soccer ball at MCC but it wasn't until their paths crossed again years later at a New College campus parties that their friendship began. They where practicing Capoeria at the time and bonded over their love for the Bidimbao and their passion for music. Some of Daniels fondest memories are having a few beers with John on his sailboat. Through the years he's been a great friend and has always been there when it's mattered most.
Bridesmaid
We met Jen at Winter Music Conference 2010 when she first caught Joe's eye. It wasn't long before we invited her over for dinner to get to know her better. I quickly fell in love with her kind and sweet demeanor. Through the years she's become one of my dearest friends and someone who I greatly admire for her genuine sincerity and for all of her incredible accomplishments.
Groomsman
Joe and Daniel had been running in the same circles and had known each other loosely for some time, but it wasn't until Ivonne and Daniel started dating they had a chance to get to know each other a little better. They discovered that they both had a love for sports but basketball was their thing. Their love for the game brought them closer together and the trash talking on the court sealed the deal. They spent countless evenings shooting hoops and pushing each other to be better athletes and becoming good friends.
Flower Girl
This beautiful little princess is Daniel's cousin Paola's daughter. Daniel remembers babysitting his little cousin when she was just a baby herself. It's extremely special to now have her little girl as our flower girl.
Ring Bearer
This handsome little man is Daniel's Best Man, Pablo's son. What a special moment to have the son of your oldest and closest friend carry the rings. The symbol of our union carried by this little nugget of love.
Mother of the Bride
Growing up my mother had the difficult task of being both mother and father, and she did an incredible job playing both rolls. I couldn't have asked for a more loving, caring and attentive mother. She was my first example in this life of what unconditional and selfless love really means. I am so grateful and blessed to still have my mother by my side to walk me down the isle on our special day.
Mother of the Groom
Officiant
Sharon has been an extremely bright light in our lives. The candle that lit our flame. Not only has she been an inspiration to us in so many ways but through the years she has helped guide us on a more spiritual and mindful path. We are so honored and blessed to have her not only officiate our union but to have her as our friend guiding us in our daily lives.
Usher
We first met Andrew at a New Years Eve party sitting around a bonfire drinking honey whiskey and telling funny stories. We all instantly connected and fell in love with his big heart and booming laugh that night. Since then we've sat around countless bonfires and have gone on some of the most memorable trips together. Andrew has been a great friend and part of some of the best memories that we will carry in our hearts forever.
In Loving Memory
Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of heaven at our wedding. Always loved, never forgotten and forever missed.
