We met doing what we love best. On the dance floor of a crowded concert, grooving and shaking to the beats and rhythm of the funk. By chance or by fate (I'd like to think fate) we ran into each other again just a week later in the halls of the Southgate Shopping Mall. He was with his family Sunday shopping and I was working the door at a restaurant. We stopped to chat and exchange pleasantries and before I knew it we were making plans to go to Miami to the Winter Music Conference together. (Our first road trip!) I had no idea then how many more adventures would follow. We laughed, flirted and carelessly danced the entire weekend away in South Beach. We got to know each other and quickly realized how much we had in common. We liked the same music, the same movies, the same books, we danced the same way, we had the same sense of humor, were just alike! We were tuned into the same frequency and there was no denying it. I knew on the car ride home, while I looked at his hand on top of mine, that I had found my partner in crime, my best friend and my soulmate for life. Now 10 years later, a little older and wiser, we try to save the dancing for special occasions, and we are more in love than ever. We invite you all to groove and shake with us on the dance floor one more time as we celebrate 10 years of being together and our first wedding anniversary with a ceremony commemorating our union and love.
