Trent and Alison's stories began in the suburbs of Chicago and Atlanta. It wasn’t until Alison moved to Georgia after college that their lives came together. They quickly discovered a mutual love for adventure, music, a little healthy competition, and spending time with their closest friends and family. After a few years of making memories in the South, they decided to take the leap and move to Chicago, embracing a new chapter of their story together. On April 8, 2024, Trent proposed to Alison at Narrow Path Winery in San Antonio, Texas. The proposal took place under a total solar eclipse, with their matron of honor and best man at their sides. The winery's owners explained that the name, Narrow Path, means two souls striving to find a combined path over and over again in pursuit of heaven and happiness. The meaning resonated with them as a reminder of staying true to what matters most in marriage—faith, love, and shared purpose. It was a meaningful moment that reflected their journey and the values they hold close. Post-wedding, Trent and Alison are preparing for another adventure—a move to Tennessee. They are looking forward to planting roots and raising a family there. But no matter where they go, they’ll always cherish the deep roots they’ve planted in the places and people they love. The question is, will the kids root for IU or UGA? Alison and Trent are excited to begin this new chapter, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, and to continue walking their narrow path together. ___ A meaningful part of their story is Alison’s connection to the Elgin golf course, where she grew up on the 12th hole and her parents have been members since 1996—the year she was born. This place holds deep sentimental value for Alison, and Trent’s love for golf has made it even more special for both of them as they prepare to celebrate their wedding at this beloved venue. | All photographs on our website are from the opening year of Elgin Country Club, 1901 |
