We met at ASU for the first Air Devils meeting of the school year. New members were split into groups lead by the existing members to have a model plane design competition. Amanda was assigned to the group that Ivan was leading with a few freshmen. The freshmen ended up taking over the project, leaving Amanda and Ivan to get to know each other. Amanda left the meeting early, but asked for Ivan's number so she could "see how the plane did." Ivan did in-fact text her after and let her know how the plane did. A month and a half later, Ivan asked Amanda on their first date on October 15th, 2021 to Taco Boys on Rural. Amanda never showed up to another Air Devils meeting again, but she got her future husband out of it.
