Where should I fly into?

Answer

It is recommended to fly into Queretaro since it is closer to San Miguel de Allende (~1 hr by car). Flying into Leon is also an option (also ~1 hour by car). Shuttles and busses are also available. For guests who would like to visit Mexico City before the wedding, it takes ~3 1/2 hours by car to San Miguel de Allende.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Renting a car is not necessary since once you are in San Miguel most activities are in walking distance and Ubers are reasonably priced. If travelling with a larger group, a rental car could be a good option.

Is San Miguel de Allende Safe?

Answer

Yes! San Miguel de Allende is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico, with a low crime rate.
