Michelin Star Barbecue. And it deserves that recognition. Expect at least an hour wait if you arrive after 10:30 - the restaurant opens at 11. Pro tip - order ahead for pickup and eat it at the restaurant :)

One of our favorite pizza joints that happens to have great beer.
Aba Austin
This is THE place for Mediterranean, and the vibes are immaculate. Just make sure to book a reservation at least 2-3 weeks out.
Pappasito's Cantina
If you're looking for Tex-Mex, this is one of the best places to stop at. Do yourself a favor and get the beef fajitas with an order of the shrimp brochette.
Gourdough's Big Fat Donuts & Coffee
If you have a sweet tooth like David (or your inner fat kid is calling), you'll love stopping at Gourdough's donut truck on South 1st Street.
Mozart's Coffee Roasters
If you love drinking a cup of coffee by the lake with some chill tunes playing in the background, you have to make a stop at Mozart's.
Perissos Vineyard and Winery
Perissos is one of our favorite wineries in the Texas Hill Country. If you have the time, this is a great place to check out! Walk-ins are welcome (if not encouraged).
The Roosevelt Room
For those staying in the city, Roosevelt Room is a nice, classy cocktail bar that is a chill place to check out in downtown Austin.
South Congress
Stop at South Congress for a chill afternoon of shopping, and maybe grab a slice of your favorite 'za at Home Slice.
The Domain
A cute outdoor mall with lots of shopping and good eats.
Rowing Dock
We love kayaking and paddleboarding down Town Lake and taking in the views of the city. If you have time and the weather permits, check it out!
Barton Springs
If the weather permits, take a dip at Barton Springs Pool. This is an Austin classic.
Pennybacker Bridge
Stop at Pennybacker Bridge for some gorgeous views of downtown and the Texas Hill Country.
Congress Avenue Bridge for Bat Viewing
Watch the bats emerge from under the Congress Avenue bridge around sunset every evening. It's one of our favorite Austin pasttimes!
Zilker Metropolitan Park
Relax at Zilker Park with some gorgeous city views. You're likely to see at least a hundred dogs here too so if you want to pet a dog... this is your place.
PopStroke
This is a great spot to kill some time and have a little fun. Think mini golf, but a little bigger and more realistic.
