Question

I don’t see my children on the invitation. Can I bring my children?

Answer

The invitation you get in the mail will specifically state who is invited. You may notice younger children will not be included in the invitation. This is because the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception are 13+ only events. Though we'd love to see your children, we hope you understand due to limitations we are unable to accommodate young children at our events. Please do not bring an uninvited guests as they will not be let in due to a lack of seating, accommodations, and resources. We hope with this notice, you will be able to make arrangements. We would love for you to take this event for yourselves to celebrate a fun night with us! It would mean a lot to us if you can make it and we hope to see you there! WEEKENDERS: For those who are traveling out of town and are staying the weekend in Bay St. Louis, feel free to bring someone to watch your children during our Wedding so they can join the trip! There are a lot of fun things for little ones to do, including the beach, aquarium, & NASA Center nearby! This does not mean they are invited to the Wedding, Cocktail Hour, or Reception. However, we’d love to see them before or after the events!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

When you go to RSVP on the website it will list everyone who is invited under your party. Unfortunately, if it only states your name, we hope you understand that due to limitations we are unable to provide a plus one. Because of this, there are no exceptions simply because we don’t have the space. Please do not bring an uninvited plus one, as they will not be let in due to a lack of seating, accommodations, and resources. Please know, we would love for you to come and celebrate our special day with us! Thank you, and we hope to see you there!

NO Phones During The Ceremony!

We kindly ask you not to take photos during the wedding ceremony in the Church. We have a photographer & videographer to capture these moments! We would love that in these captured moments we can see your faces & not your phones!! We will send you the links once we have them, so please don’t worry about that!

What Should I Wear?

Answer

We ask all guests to attend in church appropriate cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or blazer (we recommend linen as it is hot in July) and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress. We request, no jeans, please. Don’t be afraid to experiment with fun summer materials, colors, and flowy dresses! Please note, we ask that close family dress up & wear a suit or a longer dress for photos! Thank you.

Parking

Answer

Our Lady of The Gulf has plenty of parking, and the Reception is at the church’s community center, which is within walking distance. Please park on the side by the Church Community Center, not the Church. This way, you won’t need to move your vehicle after the ceremony for the 6pm Mass.
