John and Kayla met in June of 2016 when they were working at Holland Speedway. Kayla had a boyfriend at the time, so nothing progressed romantically, but they quickly became best friends. After a few years, Kayla ended her previous relationship and John swooped in to keep her busy and try to be a good friend. They spent every day together for a month until John finally made a move and kissed her for the first time on December 23rd 2018; they made it official the next day. Over the next year and a half, John and Kayla were able to start so many adventures, and in 2020 when the world was falling apart, Kayla and John saw all their dreams start to come together. In May, Kayla got into Med School at UB, in June they brought home their puppy Kade, in August, they moved into their first house, and in November, John popped the big question. They decided there was no other way than to have a big wedding with all their favorite people, and so the countdown began for September 24th ❤️
