A bit of a trek north from Neotsu and Lincoln City but the drive itself is stunning with plenty of cute areas to stop along the way! The main attraction in Tillamook is the Tillamook Cheese Factory for an inside look into Tillamook Creamery's rich heritage and cheese making process!
Pacific City offers small town accessibility with coastal charm. Pelican Brewery offers beach front dining while the beach offers a flurry of activity from surfing to Dory boats. We highly recommend hiking the Natural Area, weather permitting. Plan for your quads to burn but prepare to be rewarded with one of the best views along the Oregon coast!
Neskowin is a worthwhile stop if you choose to head north to Pacific City or Tillamook. With a bustling market and restaurant right off Highway 101 plus a beautiful beach, Proposal Rock, and the Ghost Forest, it's easy to spend a couple hours enjoying this unassuming beach community.
Although the wedding itself is in Neotsu, Lincoln City is where all the happenings are. At seven miles long, navigating Lincoln City can be a bit circuitous but it has plenty to offer if you know where to look!
Unfortunately buried in the outlet mall but worth a stop for an enormous breakfast sandwich and a high quality coffee. Prepare for bit of a wait amongst outlet mall shoppers or forego the drinks and order food online!
Unassuming is an understatement. Stop in for sandwich and snacks on your way to the beach and know you'll be met with west coast hospitality.
Hoping the west coast would treat you to In-N-Out Burger but don't want to brave the lines in Salem? Try Highway 101 Burger instead! We recommend the 202 or the 303 and a healthy serving of fries. Unfortunately, they don't offer vegan options but all burgers are available on lettuce wraps, which we actually prefer :)
Cross your fingers they're open... it's truly hit or miss. But when it's a hit... it's a hit! The pastor and veggie tacos have our heart; add a tamale and a Topo Chico for the full Pip-Nik experience!
A bit south of Lincoln City, Depoe Bay offers a face to face experience with the power of the Pacific if you find yourself driving through at high tide. Blink and you'll miss it though as this tiny town comes and goes before you can spot a parking spot along the cliff walk or a whale in the bay.
They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait but know that the views and the food are worth every minute. Plus, you just might spot a whale or two!
Tucked off of 101, this hidden walking path offers gorgeous views and a bit of an adrenaline rush at the cliff's edge. Enjoy safely!

This is a must make detour as you head south. Get up close and personal with Oregon's rocky terrain as the forest meets the sea and make sure to stop at the observatory for breathtaking views in all directions.
The location of our Save the Date photo and a generally quiet spot to enjoy the Pacific!
Nestled inside Gleneden Beach south of Lincoln City, a lunch or dinner here is sure to impress. A top choice for our welcome dinner but alas, they no longer do private events :/
Newport is one of the most popular towns along the Oregon coast. From Nye Beach to the Historic Bayfront, Newport is packed with destinations! If you figure out why their tagline is "Welcome to Newport! The Friendliest!" let us know...
One of the many lighthouses along the Oregon coast, Yaquina head is easily accessible off of Highway 101. Check out the website for the history and visit details :)
A cute cafe/cocktail bar in Nye Beach, Newport! The name "Ultralife" comes from the album of Nikki's (and now Pippy's) favorite band/duo -- Oh Wonder. Fun fact, the cafe owners actually reached out to Oh Wonder for permission to name their cafe after the duo's sophomore album!
In the heart of wine country, McMinnville is a manageable distance between Portland and Lincoln City if you fancy more than beach views! We won't list any specific restaurant or winery recommendations here but Third Street is worth a stroll and there are numerous wineries and tasting rooms in the surrounding area.
