FAQs

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

PDX or Eugene are your best airport options. Both are about two hours from Neotsu/Lincoln City so please plan to book a rental car.

Question

I don't see Neotsu on a map?

Answer

Good point! Neotsu is a small unincorporated community on the north edge of Lincoln City, OR. Plan as if you're going to Lincoln City but know that the reception and brunch venue (aka The Lake) is located in Neotsu.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we have a room block at one hotel and a few recommendations for additional options -- see our travel page for more info. Lincoln City and surrounding towns offer a variety of hotels and vacation rentals but be mindful that places will get snatched up quickly so book early for the best rates.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

Yes, we will not be offering shuttles from Portland to Lincoln City as there are too many travel itineraries to accommodate. If you're interested in sharing rental car expenses with other guests, please reach out to either Pippy or Nikki for help coordinating :)

Question

Can we park at the venue(s)?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at all venues. We don't condone drinking and driving so please be mindful of your alcohol consumption as we won't have shuttles.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please plan to RSVP by May 1st. Although we ask that you RSVP two months in advance, we recommend beginning to book travel between January and April. With the holiday weekend, flight prices could be inflated so tracking flights as soon as possible will help you minimize expenses.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus ones will be specified on your invite!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We ask that you leave your kiddos at home as the venue is not kid proof and we're hoping you enjoy a few nights away anyways :)

Question

I don't see the ceremony on the schedule?

Answer

At this time, we are choosing to have a small private ceremony with immediate family only. With the additional time this might allow in your day, we hope you'll choose to explore the coast!

Question

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Please plan to arrive between 5:00 - 5:30 PM for cocktail hour with the reception to follow. Cocktail hour and the reception are both happening at "The Lake", located at 2981 NE Johns Loop Neotsu, OR.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the reception?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a Welcome Event the evening of Friday, June 19th at the Inn at Spanish Head (address: 4009 SE Highway 101 Lincoln City, OR 97367) and a Brunch the morning of Sunday, June 21st (location: "The Lake" 2981 NE Johns Loop Neotsu, OR 97364). Everyone is welcome at both additional events but please RSVP in advance!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Please do your best to adhere to the following: Welcome Event: Dressy Casual. Slightly elevated from everyday attire (avoid jeans & tees) but no need to stress with true formal wear. Wedding Reception: Beach Formal. More formal than dressy casual but less formal than cocktail attire. Please NO HEELS! The venue does not in any way accommodate heels. Plan for sandals, flats, wedges, etc. accordingly. Brunch: Casual Casual. We know you're headed home or to the airport so show up as you are for lake views and a tasty breakfast on your way out!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please make us aware of any and all allergies at least 30 days in advance of June 19th so we can inform the caterers accordingly. You can email friesen.nikki@gmail.com to place a request.

Question

Will you have an open bar at the reception?

Answer

While we won't have a bar with a bartender, we will have locally made canned cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and sparkling waters available all night long. Again, we don't condone drinking and driving and will not have shuttles available so please be mindful of your alcohol consumption prior to your departure from the event(s). Personally, we'll likely be dancing sober so feel free to join us in cracking a mocktail or two!

Question

What's the weather/climate? How should I pack?

Answer

Oof, this one is tricky even for us! The Oregon Coast can be cool or warm depending purely upon the wind. It can also be raining at the ocean and sunny at The Lake... this is all to say, plan to pack layers; a rain jacket and water proof shoes is always a good idea.
