Hot! August in Tuscany is known for warm weather. Temperatures usually range from 80-90°F during the day. At night, temperatures are around 60°F. Usually there is usually very little rain (fingers crossed).
Train, rental car, or private car for hire (search NCC--these are registered drivers with insurance etc). Uber/Lyft don't operate in Tuscany. **NOTE: You need an international license to rent a car, see below*** Trains are the best way to navigate the major cities, however a rental car is necessary for exploring the small towns of Siena and is the easiest way to get from the airport to the small village of Val D'Orcia.
