The Buffalo Zoo

Buffalo AKG Art Museum
Located right next to Delaware Park is our recently renovated Art Museum. Their permanent collection holds works by Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso, O’Keefe, Matisse, Polluck, and Warhol. They have a coffee bar along with a full service restaurant, Cornelia, that offers Friday night dinner service, picnic basket lunches, and weekend brunch.
The Buffalo History Museum
Established in 1862, this museum showcases Buffalo’s incredible local & national history. The building itself is the only remaining structure built for the 1901 Pan Am expo. Behind the building features a meticulously upkept Japanese garden.
Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens

Trailhead Niagara Gorge Hiking Trail
Nature preserve with several trails around Niagara Falls, the main trail is easy and flat with some breakaway trails that are more difficult.
Eternal Flame Falls
A natural gas leak under a waterfall results in a perma-flame! The trail can sometimes be slippery, wear good shoes.
Tifft Nature Preserve
264 acres of restored nature preserve, with boardwalks to Lake Erie and short hiking trails. Big hit with birdwatchers!
Knox Farm State Park
Knox Farm State Park is the former country estate of Buffalo's historic Knox Family - the park's 633 acres are comprised of a variety of habitats, including 400 acres of grasslands (pastures and hayfields), and 100 acres of woodlands, ponds and several wetland areas.
Canalside
Buffalo's waterfront destination with tons of activities, food, and a Children's Museum. There is a great boardwalk to explore, and often events happening day & night in the summer. There is tons of free parking as well as being right next to the final stop on Buffalo's subway.
Food Truck Tuesdays at Larkin Square
Dozens of rotating local food trucks from Buffalo and around WNY all together along with live music. There is always a bar, and you are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to hang out on the lawn while you eat.
