Playa Norte
Voted one of the Top Ten Beaches In The World- you cannot come to Isla and NOT spend a day on Playa Norte. The sand is powder fine, and the waters are crystal clear and calm. You can rent a bed from one of the many beach clubs, or throw down a towel and relax under a palm tree for free. Either way- this is the best spot to spend your days.
Punta Sur
Punta Sur is the most southern tip of the island, it is also the very first part of Mexico that the sun touches when it rises each day. This is a gorgeous spot to check out- bring a camera & a few dollars/pesos to enter the park. Bring bananas too if you want to feed the iguanas!
Hidalgo Street
Hidalgo is the pedestrian only street in the middle of Centro (downtown). This street is packed with local shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. This is the perfect spot to grab dinner, coffee, an ice cold beer- or a souvenir to take home!
Golf Carts
Golf carts are a great way to get around the island and SO MUCH FUN! Rent one for the day and see all the island has to offer.
Isla Brewing Company
Handcrafted on an Island in the Caribbean. Isla Brewing Company is the First MicroBrewery on Isla Mujeres, offering European style ales with a Caribbean Flavor. Be sure to stop here and try some free samples, & grab a 6 pack to-go!
The Joint
While touring the island don't forget to stop by this upbeat reggae bar on the south point. Listen to the live music as you enjoy the best frozen mojito on the island!
Soggy Peso
Sweet little bar that makes seriously potent Margaritas!!! Bring your DD!!
Mango Cafe
Mango Cafe is one of the top ranked restaurants on Isla and it has been around for many years! This is one of the best places for breakfast or lunch. We highly recommend trying the Coconut French Toast, or the Fish Tacos with Mango pico de Gallo!
Fuego de Mar
Sebastian is an amazing chef and our dinner here was INCREDIBLE! If you're looking for a nice dinner option, this is a must! If you're staying in the Playa Norte area, you will need to taxi or golf cart to the location.
