Hotel
Travel Note
If any of our guests are not feeling well, are symptomatic with the common symptoms of COVID19 (fevers, chills, body aches, headaches, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), or have tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you please quarantine at home and do not travel to Mexico. All guests arriving for the wedding events will be required to have a negative COVID RT-PCR test with documentation prior to entering. This test should be completed with results 72 hours prior to your arrival in Mexico. Testing options vary based on where you live (an additional resource is projectbaseline.com which offers free testing and serves a set number of locations). With the FDA approval of a vaccine for COVID-19 that offers protective immunity, we highly recommend but will not require obtaining a vaccination before travel.
Travel Note
While there are few documented cases of COVID-19 transmission with air travel, we still highly recommend taking all the necessary precautions based on the CDC and WHO guidelines. Some airlines are not booking middle seats, have HEPA filtration every 2-3 minutes and regular plane cleanings. If you are flying to Cancun from the U.S., your actual flight time can be anywhere from 2-3 hours to 5-6 hours, depending on your point of origin. Leaving on early morning flights may also be beneficial as there are likely to be less passengers traveling at that time. For the time you are in flight, it is very important to take appropriate precautions. This includes wearing an N95 mask (a regular mask over your N95 to keep it clean for reuse on your return trip). We recommend avoiding ordering food/drinks on the flight and using the bathrooms unless an emergency. Bringing sanitizer and sanitizing regularly is important. Wipe down your tray tables if you plan on using them for reading/laptops etc.
Travel Note
As the wedding and events will be hosted at an all-inclusive resort, we recommend minimizing frequent coming and going from the resort. If you do choose to leave the resort for activities, shopping, eat etc, please use appropriate precautions by wearing a mask and avoiding crowded areas and indoor dining areas and similar precautions you would take here at home. All of our wedding events besides the reception are outdoors for maximum safety. It will be spring in Mexico and we will be right on the beach, so we hope this is more enjoyable than indoors for our guests. While we hope to have dances and performances during events, we will be asking guests to not congregate in large groups on the dance floor. We ask that guests bring and wear their masks during the events with the exception of photographs and meals.
