Question

What are the visa and/or passport requirements for Mexico?

Answer

Travel to Mexico requires valid passports, even for US Citizens. Please ensure that your passport expires after 6 months from the date of entry into Mexico. Mexico has no visa requirement for US Citizens, but you will be asked to fill out a FMM form (Mexico's visitor permit) on the plane or once you land. Once you get to immigration and customs at Cancún airport, the agents will give you the bottom half to retain until you leave the country. It is VERY important to keep this secure until you leave Mexico. Indian Citizens will need to obtain a tourist visa unless they have a valid US Visa or are permanent residents of Canada, UK, or Japan. Please verify requirements before travel, you can find specific requirements here. If in doubt, please get in touch with your local Mexican embassy.

We have secured discounted group rates for guests. Reservations MUST be made on this site through Shaadi Destinations to attend wedding events; reservations made directly with the resort, via online travel agencies such as Expedia or Hotels.com, or via a travel agency will not receive any group perks, discounted group pricing, and promotions nor will guests be allowed to enter wedding events. https://www.shaadidestinations.com/ishani-and-jay

What time is check-in and check-out at Royalton Riviera Cancún?

Answer

Check-in time is at 3pm and check-out time is at 12pm. Reservations made through Shaadi Destinations will be given priority on early check-in times as we will make requests directly with resort management. Early check-in is not guaranteed, but the resort will do their best. Guests are welcome to stay on property all day the day of check-in and check-out. Bags will be stored with your butler staff when you don't have access to your room.

Does Shaadi Destinations handle flights?

Answer

No, they do not book flights but they will handle all hotel reservations from their site https://www.shaadidestinations.com/ishani-and-jay. However, they will handle the transportation from the airport to the hotel for our guests.

Can I stay for just 2 nights?

Answer

While most destination wedding guests choose to stay 3-6 nights when flying to Mexico, we understand there may be certain limiting factors. Unfortunately, group discounts are only valid on a minimum of 3 night stays. If you must stay 2 nights, please contact us at hello@shaadidestinations.com so we can find the best rates possible for you as you must book within the group. Booking through Shaadi Destinations allows for certain group benefits to be conveyed and allows for the best rate possible.

Are kids welcome?

We chose Royalton Riviera Cancún because of the endless list of activities that will turn us all to children - so children are encouraged! The Kids Club is loaded with all the amenities of an all-inclusive luxury resort, with fun, kid-oriented activities scheduled throughout the week, making for a vacation experience parents appreciate and children will never forget! Let them play and have fun in a secure environment while you enjoy too. Families are encouraged to stay at the Diamond Club, where all guests will have exclusive access to Diamond Club services and upgraded amenities.

Why must I book through Shaadi Destinations and not Expedia or other sites?

Answer

Those who book rooms through alternate sites will have to pay additional fees ($100/pp/day) to attend the wedding events so we highly recommend and would love for you to book through our booking site. We have worked hard to make this as easy and streamline as possible for you.
