Maid of Honor
My longest friendship is with my sister, Audrey. From our childhood shenanigans playing "house" and "spa", to visiting me in college and more recently helping to plan my wedding- she has been with me through it all. Even from a very young age, Audrey has always loved fashion. I admire her ambition in pursuing her dreams in the fashion industry and enjoying her life to the fullest!
Best Man
Pete and Eric first met on a camping trip with the boy scouts back in middle school, and shortly after became best friends. Growing up, they spent time together camping with the scouts, running track in high school, playing video games, and riding their bikes. One time at a campout, Pete challenged Eric to eat as many hotdogs as he could.. it was 14! Luckily no hotdogs be served at the wedding! P.S. Sadly, Pete and Eric don't have any recent photos together so we cleverly cropped Pete's face onto Eric's fiance, Michelle's head. Quite suiting actually as the two always joke about being each other's first love ;)
Maid of Honor
Ava is the youngest of the Ikels sisters. It's been so fun watching her grow up. Although Ava is a talented artist and dedicated student, she doesn't take herself too seriously. She has an amazing sense of humor and often makes me laugh until it hurts. Ava has been accepted to every college she's applied to thus far and I cannot wait to see where she decides to start her next chapter!
Best Man
Paul is Peter's older brother and he has always been someone Pete looked up to. Paul brings out Pete's competitive side, whether it is playing basketball in the driveway, running track in high school, or most recently when he challenged Pete to beat his record riding his bike up Mt. Washington. Ask their parents, but Pete and Paul were hell raisers growing up and they look forward to raising a little hell at the wedding!
Bridesmaid
Marylynn, my soon-to-be Sister-in-Law is a kind-hearted and caring person with a contagious giggle. We share the role of oldest sister to our siblings and it's safe to say we both are most intelligent, beautiful, awesome.. you get the idea ;) Marylynn is a creative and talented artist. She's is an amazing mom to her son, Dominic and "furbaby", Harvey.
Groomsman
Darryl is Pete's brother-in-law. When Pete was in middle school, the two bonded over street racing video games and cars. One time Darryl came to the house with a new "wave board" and taught Pete how to ride it. There was a lot of falling down the hill of the Schmidt's driveway, but he figured it out! Darryl has always been a patient teacher and to this day, Pete still looks to him for advice.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is my ride-or-die chica. We met in elementary school and became close friends in high school. I can always count on Hannah for an adventure. She has a kind heart and brings joy, spontaneity, and laughter to everyone around her. One of Hannah and I's favorite pastimes is discussing grand business ventures. I do hope one of our crazy ideas comes to fruition someday!
Groomsman
Pete met Andrew while working as an Orientation Advisor in the summer of 2012. They played basketball together most nights of that summer. Later on, while also playing basketball Andrew injured his ankle and Pete rode along with him in the ambulance. Be on the lookout for Pete and Andrew on the dance floor when "Timber" gets played- they'll have some dance moves!
Bridesmaid
Suzie and I met sophomore year of college at Roger Williams University. She has a wealth of knowledge and I can always go to her for a good book recommendation. I admire Suzie's dedication to running and wish I could be 1/2 as determined as her.
Groomsman
Conor was Pete's neighbor freshman year of college and roommate their sophomore year. Both went to RWU for Criminal Justice. At one of the bars in Bristol, Barry the bartender knew Pete and Conor by name and would have a PBR in a mason jar ready for both when they walked in the door!
Bridesmaid
Nicole also went to RWU, but we became friends while studying abroad in London in 2014. Nicole is amazing at organizing trips and outings and many of the remarkable places I visited while abroad was thanks to Nicole's stellar research and planning.
Groomsman
Pete met Dan "the man" Moran on Pete's birthday freshman year of college. It's easy to remember... One thing that stuck out about Dan was his unfailing loyalty as a Detroit Lions fan. Pete is a Brooklyn Nets fan and at the time, they weren't doing so well either. Since then the Nets got better. How about them Lions, Dan? Maybe next year ;)
Bridesmaid
Alysia (a.k.a. Fefe) was one of my roommates our senior year of college at Roger Williams. Alysia is fun, outgoing, and I can always count on her for an honest opinion. We share an equal love for wine, which many be one of the reasons we get along well ;)
Groomsman
Pete and Andy met their junior year of college through their mutual friend, Dan. They quickly bonded over fantasy football and video games. Andy is a musician and Pete always envied Andy's ability to play guitar. In college, after a night of drinking, Andy would often humor friends and play John Mayer song requests.
