Isabelle and Sean met the old-fashioned way: at a grimy, noisy bar on a night out on the town. On trips to Manhattan at the same time, they were introduced by mutual friends (shout out to our matchmakers, Meaghan and Joey!). Between her trips to the bar and the dance floor, Isabelle's first thought of Sean was that he was a reluctant dancer (a BIG red flag). Once they got to talking - or rather, enthusiastically yelling at one another over the EDM music blasting over the speakers - she discovered he had torn his ACL weeks earlier and was temporarily retired from bringing his A game to the dance floor, a talent he proudly claimed was one of his strong suits. Isabelle initially thought this was a ploy to impress her, but she can now confidently attest to Sean's killer dance moves. Isabelle was immediately captivated by Sean's striking green eyes, disarming demeanor and witty sense of humor. Sean was smitten with Isabelle's radiant smile, alluring confidence and seasonally-appropriate style. Never underestimate the power of a turtleneck! The next night, the group met out again for round two. It was this night that Sean mustered up the courage to limp over to Isabelle and deliver his best sales line, “Can I ask you a crazy question? Can I have your number?" "Took you long enough," Isabelle thought to herself. Sean valiantly ignored the three-day-rule as not even 24 hours later, Isabelle received a mysterious text from a “Maybe: Sean” with an invitation for drinks at her favorite bar in Nashville the day before his ACL surgery. Isabelle came to find out later the timing was no coincidence – Sean didn’t want to risk losing the momentum of this new, intriguing connection by waiting to get together until after he’d recovered from the procedure. Isabelle was filled with the excitement and anticipation of a budding romance that had her smiling like a fool with each text message exchanged between them. The first date quickly led to a second, and suddenly Isabelle and Sean found themselves wanting no one else but the other to spend a cozy night in with after work, gallivant around the city on the weekends, and share stories about their family life, values and goals for the future. Both Isabelle and Sean marveled at how easy it was to simply be themselves with one another. They each felt wholeheartedly accepted and celebrated by the other for their strengths and imperfections. They were falling in love. July 4, 2022. Isabelle and Sean were admiring the beauty of the Long Island Sound, sitting beachside, with hands interlocked and hearts full of contentment. With the golden rays of sunlight sparkling on the water and the peaceful sound of the waves against the shore, it was a scene too picturesque for Sean to hold in those three little words any longer. Sean admitted he was worried how Isabelle would react to professing his love too early, but before he could even finish his sentence, Isabelle was saying it right back. Now Isabelle and Sean are eager to walk down the aisle and get to say, "I do," in front of their closest friends and family on May 3!
