We know there are a lot of things to think of when planning a trip abroad. To make planning a little easier, here’s our recommended timeline in a checklist format:
Travel Note
If you’re planning to celebrate with us and don’t yet have a passport, we kindly encourage you to apply by September 10, 2026 to ensure there’s plenty of time for processing. Please also note that your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your scheduled return flight home, or you may not be permitted to travel. If your current passport expires on or before November 10, 2026, you’ll need to renew it before traveling. We want to make sure everyone has a smooth and stress-free trip! Hotel
This is our wedding venue and the place all of the wedding party and immediate families will be staying. They have 13 cottages available for reservation for anyone who would like to stay on the property with us! There are 2, 4, 6, and 8 person cottages available, and they can be reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis through reaching out directly to Belle Isle and mentioning our names. We have blocked off 8 of those cottages for any guests who want to reserve them directly through calling/emailing Belle Isle and mentioning our name. Any remaining cottages that have not been reserved by February 26, 2027 will be released to the public. If you would like to stay on the grounds with other people attending the wedding, designate one person in your group who can speak with Belle Isle and reserve the cottage. Hotel
If you would prefer to stay close to the castle but have your own space, this is a great option- only about 6 minutes away. It is a small place with only 4 rooms, so if you would like to book here it is best to book as early as possible. This is our most budget friendly recommendation.

This is a mid-tier recommendation in terms of expense, and it is about 15 minutes from the castle.

This is a more high end recommendation with a spa and a golf course, and it is about 30 minutes from the castle.
Flight
Dublin is a great airport to fly into because it is not very expensive compared to other airports in Ireland, and it is a great city to visit before/after the wedding if you plan to extend your trip. It is also an airport that offers some direct flights, so your travel time would be significantly shorter (depending on where you are flying from). It is about a 2 hour drive from the airport to the castle if you are renting a car. If we have enough people flying into Dublin around the same time, we will possibly provide a group shuttle to the castle on the May 26, 2027.
Rental Car
This is the best reviewed and most budget friendly option out of the Dublin airport. If you prefer to rent your own car, we recommend you book it by February 20, 2027.
Flight
Shannon is typically less expensive to fly into, but it is about a 3-3.5 hour drive to the castle. If you are already planning on making an extended vacation out of the trip, Shannon and the surrounding area in Southern Ireland are beautiful. Some people have said they will fly into Shannon, stay a couple nights there and drive up to the castle after.
Rental Car
This is the best reviewed and most budget friendly option out of the Shannon airport. If you prefer to rent your own car, we recommend you book it by February 20, 2027.
Flight
Generally Belfast is a city you might not want to stay in before coming to the castle, so it's an option for people who want to go straight from the airport to the castle. It is about 1.5 hours from the airport to the castle, and Belfast is a pretty inexpensive option. A downside to flying into Belfast is your travel time will likely be a few hours longer due to a lack of direct flights.
Rental Car
This is the best reviewed car rental service out of the Belfast International Airport. If you prefer to rent your own car, we recommend you book it by February 20, 2027.
