In 2015, they crossed paths in high school through a shared love for music and broadcasting. Ryan, the president of the Broadcast Club, and Isabella, a peer with a passion for storytelling, connected over mutual creative interests. The first thing Ryan remembers about Isabella is her sense of humor and vibrant personality. In fact, her playful joke — claiming her name was Alyssa — had Ryan convinced for an entire week! As the semester went on, Ryan made his feelings known in the sweetest way possible: with food. In one memorable moment, he asked Isabella to formal with the most thoughtful gesture — “Is there a Subway you would go to formal with me?” paired with her favorite sub, Italian on herb and cheese. To be known is to be loved! It was a quirky moment that marked the beginning of something truly special. We went from promposals to PROPOSAL ❤️
Over the years, we’ve found joy in traveling together — from exploring cityscapes like Seattle to spending a weekend hiking in Humboldt, we love it all. About a year ago, we took our first trip to San Diego. What was supposed to be a short 3-night stay turned into 4 nights, as we fell in love with the warm ocean, sandy beaches, and vibrant energy of the city. In particular, Sunset Cliffs encapsulated the beauty of the ocean-the crashing waves and backdrop made it feel magical. We spent our days soaking up the sun and dreaming about our future together — and we knew this was the perfect place to say “I do.”
Anyone who knows us knows we love a good adventure — from escape rooms and murder mysteries to kayaking in the ocean and watching bats fly at night. So a reception on the ocean after a cliffside ceremony just made perfect sense. It’s a magical day filled with nature and the right touch of city, all in a place where we fell even more in love.
