A not very specific guide in Lisbon is a must! These are our recommendations to see as much as possible. Some general tips are: Chiado, known for its luxury shopping and historic landmarks. Some iconic streets are: Run Garett, Rua Do Carmo, Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo. Another recommendation is Alfama which is the oldest neighborhood of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the Saõ Jorge Castle and the Tejo river. Just walk around the little uphill streets in the neighbourhood and find stuff out by yourself. Baixa is another district we often visit (specifically, Rua Augussta, Praca do Comércio, Praça do Rossio, Estação do Rossio). Bairro Alto is a place (can be a bit messy in the evenings, but definitely a must if you're looking for some extra fun, tons or bars here. Also visit Cais do Sodre (Pink Street) which is also an iconic street. AND, visit Belem (in our opinion their Pastel de Nata is a must!)
Things to do in Cascais Go to the beach!! Really any beach in Cascais is great! Walk around in the city centre (very nice karaoke bar with beer tasting there in evenings) Marina de Cascais (lots of very nice lunch restraurants there) Boca do Inferno Golf at Quinta Da Marinha (where the wedding is) Just walk along the sea
Our favorite restaurants nearby Cascais (a bit pricy, but worth it!): Cimas Mandarim (for the Peking Duck) Panorama (GREAT seafood) Oz prazeres da carne Visconde da Luz After dinner: Visit Casino Estoril Go to Lisbon, really anywhere For dancing, go to Jamaican
A list of things you must eat!! Sweets: Pastel de Nata (in Pastel de Belem or Manteigaria) Snacks: Pastel de Bacalhau (Codfish pastry) Pica Pau (Beef stew) Mains: Bacalhau (codfish), all kinds but especially: Bacalhau com Natas Bacalhau à Brás Fish, especially Robalo (Sea Bass) Dourada (Sea Bream) Bife a Portuguesa
