Flying into Sydney

We recommend flying into Sydney Airport where the town of Wollombi is approx 2 hour drive. There is also the option to fly into Newcastle Airport where the town of Wollombi is approx 1.5hour drive. As most of our guests are flying in from Perth there are direct flight from Perth (PER) to Sydney (SYD) Flight time is approx. 4 hours 10mins. We recommend arriving Thursday 18th Feb or Friday 19th Feb morning Book early for the best fares and keep an eye out for Airline sales (Qantas Red Tail Sale, Jetstar, Virgin)

The most convenient and flexible option is to hire a car at Sydney Airport (strongly recommended as Wollombi is a rural area with limited public transport - think of it like a down south trip). Car pooling with other guests is also a great way to share the cost and travel Car Hire Options (Pick up at Sydney Airport) - Major companies: Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Thrifty - Compact cars start from $50–$90 per day - Drive time: approx. 2 hours via M1 motorway

Additional Transport Deatils

Taxis in Wollombi/Hunter Valley From what we understand local taxis are limited in Wollombi. We are confirming with the venue the best options for taxis and getting to and from events. Pre-book with: Hunter Valley Taxico, Wine Country Taxis, or Designated Driver Hunter Valley Wedding Day Transport - 20th February Recovery Day Transport - 21st February We will be providing a bus service for both of these days! The buses will collect guests from main accommodation areas (Wollombi and Cessnock) and return everyone safely after the wedding. No need to drive or organise taxis on the night Exact pick-up times and locations TBC. Once you have booked your Accomodation please let us know your address and who is staying in that accomodation
