Things to do

The Wedding Website of Isabella Kasper and Hallgrimur Oskarsson
The south coast of Iceland is filled with neat things to see. Here's a few suggestions. More to be added in coming weeks.
Seljalandsfoss

Seljalandsfoss

861, Iceland

Very popular waterfall close by, popular with tourists and photographers. It is possible to walk around the back of the waterfall under the cliff. It is 30 min away from the venue by car.

Gljúfrabúi

Gljúfrabúi

Þórsmerkurvegur, 861, Iceland

A waterfall about 5-10 min walk from Seljalandsfoss, inside a short ravine. easily accessible.

Nauthúsagil

Nauthúsagil

Stóridalur, 861, Iceland

A river ravine that leads up to a waterfall inside the ravine. Very beautiful and often overlooked by tourists. Simple flatland hike about half an hour each way, but some of the journey is in the river so rainboots or waterproof footwear is recommended. This is close to Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi.

Keldur Turf House

Keldur Turf House

Keldur, 851, Hella, 851, Iceland
, +3545302270

See turf houses, how Icelanders lived in ye olden days. This is right next to the venue at maybe 2 min by car.

Skógafoss

Skógafoss

861, Iceland

Beautiful Skógafoss waterfall. This is not really close, since it is almost an hour away from the venue but always an impressive sight. And on the way to Reynisfjara (murder beach) which is a big tourist attraction.

Reynisfjara Beach

Reynisfjara Beach

Reynishverfisvegur, 871, Iceland

Popular with tourists and always called the black sand beach, which is strange for natives because sand (at least in Iceland) is black. If any of you decide to go, be aware of the sneaker waves that try to kill you. Do not go to the waterline, or close to it.

For all the days along the way
