It all started at Wegmans! Bella was working as a coordinator on the front end during Nursing school. Gino was a service team leader who had just got transferred to the store Bella worked at in the fall of 2020. It started off as a friendship when Bella was placed on Gino's team for the 'Fill the Backpack' campaign event for Hunger. Shortly after the new year, they went on their first date to Tully's on valentine's day of 2022. They had a second date the next day because they could not get enough of each other. A month later on Pie Day, Gino asked Bella to be his girlfriend with a mug that says "You, Me, and the Dog." And just like that, Gino, Bella, and Cope became their own little family. A year later, Bella moved in. The following year, in May 2023, they bought their first home together. By January, the family grew again when Jax, another chocolate lab, joined the crew—because one giant ball of fur and slobber just wasn’t enough. Fast forward to May 2025, Gino Proposed on Mother's Day on a picnic at Lake Como Park (If you’re sensing a theme here, yes—Gino apparently only does big moves on holidays.) Bella thought a Mother's Day dinner get together was in order for that night with both families combined, little did she know that the moms had secretly orchestrated a surprise engagement party. Now, five and a half years later, they’re still in their cozy little home—constantly making updates, endlessly cleaning up after the dogs, and always finding time for sloppy wet dog kisses and furry cuddles.
