Travel to Newport: If you are flying, the closest airport to Newport, RI, is T.F. Green Airport (PVD) in Warwick, Rhode Island. It's located about 25 miles north of Providence and is conveniently situated right off Interstate 95. The drive to Newport from PVD is typically around 35 minutes. Boston Logan International Airport is approximately 2 hours or 73 miles away by car to Newport, RI.
For my PA/NJ/NY family and friends, I recommend driving or taking an Amtrak train.
In Newport: Please note that traffic in and around Newport in the summer can be very congested, so please leave yourself extra time when driving to the events.
