We first met on Tinder a few days before Thanksgiving in 2019. In the most Gen Z turn of events, we moved the conversation to Snapchat then escalated to texting to FaceTiming. Our first date consisted of a movie marathon and Chinese takeout from our current favorite Chinese spot, Mirichiru. Later that night, Kevin sent over a playlist with the first letters of each song spelling "Will you be my girlfriend?". Starting off our whirlwind romance, where not a day went by where we did not see each other. For Valentine's Day 2020, we took a last-minute trip to New York. In front of Kevin's favorite painting Madonna and Child Enthroned with Saints, he took a knee and “proposed” to the chagrin of our parents. They were much happier when Kevin officially proposed with Izzy’s forever ring at the Botanical Gardens on Palm Sunday 2025. Over the past 5 years, we have grown from being young, dumb, and broke to being career-driven and family oriented. While we don't regret any of our decisions, we hope and pray that our nieces, nephews, and future children do not follow in our footsteps. Our lives have been one big rollercoaster, and we have enjoyed every second of it. Thank you to everyone who has supported and led us to be at the point where we are today.
