FAQs

Question

How many guests will be in attendance?

Answer

To keep the day intimate, we've limited our celebration to 50 of our closest loved ones. We hope you know how much we care for everyone, and we truly appreciate your love and support as we create a day that feels special and manageable for us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will include the names of all guests invited. To keep the day intimate, we ask that you please do not bring any additional guests that are not listed on your invitation.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to make our special day adults-only.

Question

Halloween? Really?

Answer

Yes, really! One thing we love about each other is our shared creativity, silliness, and whimsy. Those closest to us know that we love a theme, and we couldn't think of a more fun day to bring everyone together to celebrate what makes us us!

Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Semi formal attire is requested. This includes: - Mid to floor length dresses - Button down shirts with dress pants - Suit jackets and ties are optional Please note the ceremony will take place outside on grassy terrain, so chunky heels or flats would be recommended over stilettos.

Question

What is the dress code for the reception?

Answer

It is a Halloween party after all, so costumes are highly encouraged for our reception! We have allotted the hour between the ceremony and cocktail hour for travel to the reception venue and a pit stop at your hotel to change into costume. Go for something casually spooky, or go all out! We're excited to see what everyone comes up with.

Question

Wait, so I have to bring 2 outfits?

Answer

No! We understand that a second outfit for the reception is a lot to ask, especially for out of town guests. To help with this and encourage everyone to join in on the fun, there will be a costume rack at cocktail hour for guests to pull from, if you prefer. The rack will be complete with items that can be easily added to an existing outfit, like hats, masks, capes, and other props. However, if you prefer a total costume change, go for it!

Question

What will parking be like?

Answer

For the ceremony: Plenty of parking is available in the driveway, as well as the empty lot to the right of the property. An usher will be here to guide you. For the reception: Footnote has its own free event parking lot behind the venue. The venue front entrance is on 4th St., but the parking lot entrance is on the next street over, Holly Ave. For those staying at a hotel downtown, it may be most convenient to park at your hotel and walk over for the party, to avoid having to drive back afterwards.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes, our reception venue will include an open bar with wine beer and spirits. Footnote is also a coffee house!
