*Effective May 1, 2026, the City of Chicago introduced a new 1.5% Tourism Improvement District (CTID) charge that applies to hotel stays on or after this date. This is a city-mandated fee, not a hotel-imposed charge, and applies across qualifying Chicago hotels:
- The charge applies to all guest room reservations, including those within wedding room blocks, for stays on or after May 1, 2026.
- It is calculated as 1.5% of the room rate only and does not apply to taxes or most additional charges.
- Per city requirement, the fee will appear separately on the guest folio as the "CTID Transaction Charge."

Either ORD or MDW are great options to arrive into Chicagoland. Public transit from either airport to South Loop is available via the CTA Blue Line and CTA Orange Line, respectively.
