Things To Do

San Francisco is home to an amazing food scene, unique, historic neighborhoods, vibrant nightlife, and breathtaking scenery. Below are some our favorites!

Food:

Chez Maman: A local gem, Chez Maman offers delectable French cuisines and an extensive wine list.

Chome: An izakaya spot in the Mission, Chome features excellent sushi and small Japanese plates.

Wing Lee Bakery: A classic dim sum spot with great pork buns, shrimp dumplings, and Chinese noodles.

Arizmendi Bakery: For sourdough, scones, special daily pizzas, focaccia and more!

The Progress: Upscale California dishes in a beautiful setting fewer than 10 minutes from Kabuki.

El Farolito: San Francisco is heralded for its Mexican food, and nothing tops El Farolito.

Dumpling Home: Amazing soup dumplings that are worth the wait!

Sushi: Oma (closest to the hotel), Shokudou, Ju-Ni, and Chisai Sushi Club are all excellent.

San Ho Wan: The best Korean barbecue either of us have ever tasted. Make reservations in advance!

Molinari’s: Fantastic deli sandwiches and other Italian staples located in the heart of North Beach.

Stable Café: Tasty breakfast or lunch fare in a wonderful outdoor garden.

Kevin and Chris’s Noodle House: An unassuming Pho spot. Delicious appetizers too!

The Mill: Yummy breakfast toasts and a wide variety of great coffee drinks.

Tartine: The only touristy spot we included here, Tartine is world-renowned for its pastries.

Arsicault: Some claim it has the best croissants in the city…judge for yourself!

Breakfast Little: SF’s tastiest breakfast burritos.

Mitchell’s/Salt & Straw/Garden Creamery: Although never too hot, San Francisco has great ice cream.

Drink:

Evil Eye: Creative cocktails, retro décor, a photo booth, and pool tables.

Barebottle: A warehouse style brewery with an extensive draft beer selection and bar games.

Bar Part Time: A wine bar with a small dance floor and deep beats late into the night.

Trad’r Sams: An eclectic, tiki-themed bar that serves a wide variety of rum cocktails (and others).

Trick Dog: A great cocktail bar with seasonal drinks and mellow ambiance.

Activities:

• Explore Japantown Mall: Right down the street from Hotel Kabuki, it offers plenty to do!

Go on an urban hike: Lands End, Twin Peaks, and Mount Davidson all provide beautiful views of SF.

Golden Gate Park: Visit the Japanese tea garden, Academy of Sciences, or buffalo sanctuary.

Visit SF's historic neighborhoods: Explore the Haight, the Mission, or North Beach/Chinatown

Visit the beach: Fort Funston, Chrissy Field, and Baker/Ocean Beach are all great in warm weather.

Ride one of the cable cars: Although touristy, they are worth it!

Going out: Explore the Misson, the Marina, or the bars on Polk Street.

Other museums: SF MoMA, Legion of Honor.

Tour the Ferry Building: Right on the bay with great stores/shops and a Saturday farmers market.

For all the days along the way
