Question

Can I bring a plus one or my kids if they are not listed on my reservation?

Answer

We love you and your families! Due to limited space however, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We will be having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be cocktail attire! Suits, jackets and slacks, cocktail dresses, and dressy midi dresses are all welcome.

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 3:00 pm. Because of this, we suggest guests arrive no later than 2:45 pm.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

While the venue does not have its own parking for guests, you are welcome to park on the streets leading up to the community building. On the Southport Community Building website, there is a map of all the available, free parking for guests. You can find that map here: https://cityofsouthport.com/southport-community-building/#plan-your-event

Question

Where should guests stay if we are traveling from out of town?

Answer

That depends! The Southport/ Wilmington area has lots to offer visitors. If you want to be close to the venue, finding an airbnb or hotel in Southport would be best. Oak Island isn't far either, so that could be another good place to stay. If you want to be in Wilmington, closer to the ILM airport, the downtown Wilmington area might be better for you. If this option seems like the best fit for you, you could consider staying at the Front Street Inn or the Ballast Hotel. **Fun Fact: Phebe used to work at Sugo, the restaurant inside the Ballast Hotel! She highly recommends it to anyone looking for an excellent Italian dinner.** If you'd like to stay for a few extra days to enjoy the beach and you don't mind the commute, the Wrightsville Beach area could be perfect for you! If you're up for an adventure, you could stay closer to Carolina Beach. Fort Fisher is a beautiful place to spend some extra outdoor time. **And it's one of Isaac and Phebe's favorite spots to go explore!** Carolina Beach State Park also has some fun trails. While this is a pretty lengthy commute to the venue, there is a ferry that goes directly from Fort Fisher to Southport! This can be a fun option, but if you go this route, please give yourself plenty of extra time for waiting in line- you'll want to make sure you get there early enough that they don't fill up, and you have to wait for the next boat.
