I have to admit that when Katie and I first met in the sixth grade, she did not like me. I really annoyed her (not much has changed there) but I eventually won her over! She is someone I have always admired and looked up to. Not having any sisters of my own, I have always thought of her like my big sister. She is someone I can always count on and will never steer me in the wrong direction. I miss her every single day since she moved away from Indy but I am so lucky she has agreed to be my matron of honor, right by my side on our big day! Jake is my older brother and the person I look up to most in this world. I owe a lot of who I am to him. He has this insane ability to always learn a lesson from anything life throws his way. I always try to emulate Jake in difficult moments by owning the decisions I make. He has offered me advice many times when I randomly call him up with a tough situation - anytime, anyplace. Some of my most favorite memories growing up are at Shelby's parents' house, swimming, golf cart rides, and late night bonfires. We have always joked that Shelby is like my "mom" taking care of me and giving me a place to stay when I would come visit IU. You can always count on Shelby to make sure everyone is having fun and laughing! Even now that we are grown up her house is still the place to hang out, play games, and even more late night bonfires. Shelby is always keeping me up on what is cool, pop culture, and is willing to watch shows or movies to see if I will like them first! Ethan is my sweet baby brother. Anytime of day, I know I can call up Ethan and he will have my back. Or he will just talk to me for an hour about something nerdy. In all things I enjoy, I try to channel Ethan's awesome passion. He will just dive into things with his whole being and soak up knowledge. I've never met someone that I can rely on more, and who will always love me no matter what I do. If you haven't already, talk to him about anything - he'll have something to say! Abby and I have known each other since middle school and we have grown so much in our friendship over those years. The first word that comes to my mind when I think of Abby is support. She is always there to catch up at brunch, send silly Snapchats to make each other laugh when we are having a rough day, or dance around the kitchen making breakfast. I can't help but laugh whenever we are together. Whether it is reminiscing about embarrassing high school days or looking forward to what our lives have in store, we always do it with a smile. She always has my best interest at heart and can give me that logical advice I need when feeling out of control. I couldn't be more lucky to have her be a part of our special day! Brandon and I have a long history together. We first met in Middle School under bizarre circumstances, but quickly realized that we had too much in common to ignore. I knew from that first summer of us hanging out that we would be lifelong friends. Although we were heavily cautioned against it, our friendship carried through being roommates in college. Brandon is someone I can sit around and talk about anything with, or even say nothing at all. He is always joking, having a good time, and making sure everyone around him is as well. There is no one in the world like Audrey. She is so caring and considerate of everyone around her. We have grown up so much since we first met in high school. She is another friend I can honestly say I look up to (in every sense of the phrase expect height). Audrey is patient, understanding, and always willing to go the extra mile to help the people she cares about. It is impossible to be unhappy around Audrey because her positivity and love of life are contagious. I can only hope that one day I am half the mom that she is to her beautiful little girl. There is nothing better to describe Leah than the ultimate hype woman. I was lucky enough to meet her through other friends in college and I could not have asked for someone better in my life. Leah is who I run to when I need to hear some positivity and just feel better about everything. Even now that she is a mom, she doesn't mind when I randomly show up at her house for a vent session. Some of the best conversation I have had recently are sitting on her porch just catching up. She always has a smile on her face and a compliment to give. Leah is an amazing friend, teacher, and mom. Nick and I have a friendship dating way back to our high school days. Although we thought we didn't have much in common at first (i.e. sports), we became lifelong friends playing games on the Xbox. Scott is my younger cousin but I have always thought of him more like my brother. When we were growing up, people always joked that we were the male and female version of each other. There is no one in the world like Scott. He is the sweetest, kindest, most relaxed, person I know (unless his food is the last to come out at a restaurant). Even though we live far apart and don't get to see each other as often as we would like, when we do get together it is like nothing has changed. Sam and I met back in college. I distinctly remember him as the super tall guy with an afro (made me jealous). We took a lot of the same classes, and eventually roomed together. I've never heard Sam Werne utter a negative thing about anyone. I also have to say that Werne is one of the smartest people I'll ever know. He'll nerd out about anything he can get his hands on. The guy has the ability to sit down, memorize a textbook, and then convince the book authors they don't know what they are talking about. Jon is my oldest brother but really he is more like a friend. Even when Jon was forced to baby sit us when we were younger, he would always make everything fun. He was never afraid to play my silly games with me as a child and would never back down from a round of Pretty Pretty Princess with me (and would never let me win!) He is always on my side and always there with the best advice anyone could ask for. I have come to Jon on more than one occasion when I need a voice of reason. No matter what, he is always there to talk things through. He is the world's best problem solver and I honestly do not think I would be the person I am today without him. From the moment I was born (as my parents love to tell) he took his job as "big brother" very seriously. He is always looking out for me and helps me keep a level head. It is easy for him because I don't know anyone with a bigger heart than Dan. He always goes the extra mile to make sure everyone around him is happy and loves to capture those precious moments with his camera. The people in Dan's life are lucky to know him as a friend or colleague, but I am the luckiest to get to call him my big brother.
