Good Harbor Bay Beach

You may have heard of it. 35 miles of sand beaches, 450’ bluffs above Lake Michigan, forests, crystal clear inland lakes. Kind of a big deal.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

7.4 mile scenic drive through Beech-Maple forest and sand dunes with spectacular overlooks of the Glen Lakes, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Lake Michigan.

Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive

Best swimming and best sunsets according to the Moultons. It’s worth the drive.

Empire Beach

Just north of Leland is the nicer, quieter, less busy version of Van’s beach. Great for flashing your future family or losing your glasses.

North Beach

Great place to spend your money. Features local (mostly women) artists and sustainable, fairtrade brands. Best shop in Northern Michigan and we’re definitely not biased.
